In “Awareness for Healthy Future” seminar which was organized in Girne American University (GAU) Millennium, student-parent relations are mentioned and various topics that families wonder were approached.

The “Awareness for Healthy Future” seminar which was organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kudret Çağlar, Dr. Erdem Beyoğlu, Dr. Mehmetali Tunçbilek, and Dietitian Mehmet Miralay within the scope of Ministry of Education; The American Nursery School, The American Elementary School and The International Prep School which are connected to the GAU Group of Schools, students and their parents participated.

Seminar which was aimed to raise the awareness by giving short footnotes to parents was very colorful.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kudret Çağlar

Child Oncologist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kudret Çağlar in his statement mentioned to some issues like “How to reduce fever? How to deal with cough, diarrhea, and vomit? Importance of human milk?” and he gave eye-opener information.

Dr. Erdem Beyoğlu

Child and Adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Erdem Beyoğlu emphasized that treatments and follow-up of diagnosed diseases is important by giving information about wondered questions like “What is Autism? What is the Importance of Early Intervention? What is Inattention and how it is understood? How it should be the good and balanced parents?”  in his statement.

Dietitian Mehmet Miralay

Dietitian Mehmet Miralay referred to malnutrition in children and dangers of overweight which starts at an early age and by talking over the approach to obesity, disease of our time and balanced nutrition topics he drew parents’ attention to this topic.

In seminar video show was presented related with the topic by emphasizing the “Your child will do the same of what you are doing” theme. It was emphasized that parents should be in harmony for self- confident, hearty generations and during the seminar, questions which came from parents were answered, all wondered topics were brightened in detail.
