IN THE ROAD TO PEACE, CYPRUS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND INVESTMENT SUMMIT WILL BE HELD ON 28TH NOVEMBER

AKPINAR, “5 BILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT PROGRAM IS TARGETED”

 “In the road to peace, Cyprus International Cooperation and Investment Summit” will be held on Saturday, 28th November at Le Chateu Lambousa.

GAU Founding Rector and The Chancellor of the Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar, Europe Businessman Club Europe President Zbingniew Roch, International Association of Diplomats President Ferhat Bozçelik, International Association of Diplomats Board of Administrator and The European Union Counselor Musa Karademir, Europe Businessman Club Program Committee President Alice Roch, Vice Chancellor of the Board of Administrators of GAU Olgun Üstün participated in the press conference.

GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar made speech in press conference and emphasized that;

“Now, before this historic moment, I am honored to shout to people of Cyprus and share the moment with you. As you know, after having contact with our Prime Ministry, under the auspices of our Prime Minister Kalyoncu, Cyprus International Cooperation and Investment Summit was organized in the road to peace. On Saturday 28th November, a significant summit will be held with participation of international investment agencies from both Republic of Turkey and European Union. Within the scope of this summit, we will inform you and we will indicate that, with economical values, the island is in progress in resolving point with such international and acceptances. We will make an organization aimed at further steps to be taken with the contributions of businessmen. As you can see, 5 billion dollar investment program were targeted. Currently, Cyprus is in a critical and preclusion period. I want you to know a very substantial number of international participants and businessmen are way to invest in the island. In this process, we want from TRNC and our community to consider this process with a severe precision and we want them to see how we are taking the right steps as GAU by hosting this opportunity that has not captured for years. Our Prime Minister and President maintain quiet successfully and caring stance in this way. Our only hope is creating investment program in our island actually with all the layers of our state and government, businessmen’s, and related associations’ contributions to this process”.

Turkey President of International Association of Diplomats Ferhat Bozçelik stated that;

“As you know, International Association of Diplomats was established by European Commission in 2000. Now, with the date of 12.12.12, we have been very active in Istanbul for 3 years. We have offices in 12 country and we are conducting the Association of Diplomats with nearly 20 active diplomats. As you know, we organized an economy summit in Istanbul 4-5 months ago. A serious investment around 20 billion dollar came out. After seeing that was successful, we think we must have this in TRNC at the instance of Mr. Akpınar. Here, not only the investors from foreign capital, very serious investors from Turkey will be here at the same time. Although Cyprus is an unrecognized country by European Union, our efforts that we have shown here, showed result.

Lastly, Europe Businessmen Club European Dean Zbingniew Roch stated that;

Firstly, I present my thanks to everyone for giving me an opportunity to contributing. Organization that will be held will be a historic moment. As you know, we are in a hesitating period. Currently, terrorist incidents are on the agenda. When we listen the news and see what is going on in the world, we should afraid. Now within these bad news, where there are good news, we have started to look at them. Unfortunately, we can’t see positive news in televisions. “Also, except these incidents, makes me happy to be found in a summit like this, because our target here, to be a place like shining star in this dark world. Normally most of the crisis would be due to economic crisis. Firstly, we need to ask for political peace. Politicians need to get going with the support of the people. Let the people decide then let the politicians direct and do it. Of course, go ahead with the right partner must be needed. Money and investment are important on this subject. Now, we have a powerful partner like GAU and we are happy about it. We have no doubt that the Turkey will give support to this issue. I can sincerely say that, my friends in European Union are supporting and purposing the peace in Cyprus. We expect from governments and presidents not to spare their support.”

Also Akpınar underlined that;

“We have seen that many opportunities escaped from past to present. Currently, there is such a convergence and good steps can be taken within this period that formed in preparation of this process. Foreign investment can arouse within the scope of this summit. Our government and state must work with earnestness both in supporting the investment processes and acceptances”.
