The teachers of the American College, The American Nursery School, The American Elementary School,  The International Prep School and The American Future College that provides education in Nicosia, which are under GAU Group of Schools, attended to the "Teacher`s Day Cocktail" organized by the GAU Group of Schools President Assist. Prof. Dr. Ferdiye Ersoy.

Music concert

The cocktail began with the music concert, and then continued with the speech on the meaning and importance of the day. School captain and his assistants attended to the cocktail held at the American College.

24 November Teachers Day celebration started with American College School Captain Ayden Tahsin`s speech.

Emotional speech

Ayden Tahsin pointed the meaning and importance of the day by stating that; "We have gathered to emphasize the importance and value of the Turkish teachers in society; to strengthen the bonds of respect, love and solidarity between teachers and students; to respectfully commemorate our teachers who are not with us right now and to awaken the consciousness of the glory of their profession in new teachers.", then he continued to his speech by stating the followings:

"Today, our school garden was filled with colorful balloons that we presented to the teachers. We firstly thank to our supervisor teacher Şehnaz Nadiri and to all of our teachers, those who have contributed to us till this day.

Poetry Reading

There were emotional moments from time to time at the cocktail, which was completed with the poetry reading of Mehmet Düzce after the speeches made by the students of 12 art classes Liah Sivrikaya and Çinare Mametli.
