Girne American University (GAU) , heading towards to 50th year of higher education, continues to join to the international associations.

GAU, which placed in the top 100 universities among the 21 different countries, officially is the member of Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED). GAU, collaborated with the universities that located in Europe and Mediterranean, will contribute the field of scientific, cultural, social and economics.

Mediterranean Universities Union was establish in 1991 in Rome with the aim of providing scientific, cultural, social and economic researches also involved in many different areas such as health, media, technology, history, tourism, cultural heritage, economy, energy, management of environment and water.

In the statement made by GAU indicated that GAU is the international university with the campuses spread across 3 continent and student from 103 different countries. Also it’s emphasized that cooperation with the Mediterranean Universities Union and international institutions like Magna Carta council of observation. In the statement, indicated GAU has become worldwide known universities, emphasized that the importance given to education and it will be more collaboration with the investments.
