GAU Academic Member “Master Chef” Ali Cilli: GAU Is Unrivalled In Gastronomy

“Master Chef” awarded well-known  Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department academic member of GAU Ali Ozcil referred that he is very proud of the success of his students.

 

Ali Ozcil who is the first Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department academic member who received the title of “Rotisseurs” in Cyprus underlined that In the “Intercollegiate Gastronomy Department Cooking Competition”, they got the first place and stated “In this competition, by winning 2 gold and 1 silver medal, we showed the difference of Girne American University”

 

Ali Ozcil who stated they made the biggest difference in the application cuisine expressed that “We took pride in the success of our students, now our goal is to place in competitions by attending abroad Cooking Competitions”

 

Ali Ozcil explained that GAU Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department trains personnels for cookery which is the most popular occupational group in today’s society and continued; “Along with the convenience of finding a job, Gastronomy is also a financially attractive occupation. Besides, students in this department have the chance to work in restaurants and hotels at weekends and this is a great advantage”

 

Ozcil emphasized that the most important difference in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts education is combining theoretical and practical applications and stated the followings;

 

“GAU Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department which come to the fore with the slogan of quality in education creates great difference with its powerful staff. We perform a success indexed work with Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. Ismet Esenyel, Department Head Assist. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bozdaglar and my academic member friend Mustafa Sah”

 

Ali Ozcil who worked as a Cuisine Instructor in Turban A.Ş, Cuisines Coordinator in Etap Group Hotel, Cuisines Coordinator in Accor Mercure Group Hotel in Turkey and Executive Chef and Cuisines Coordinator in Jasmine Court, Palm Beach, Celebrity Group Hotels and Cuisine Instructor in OTEM in Cyprus, now is an academic member of Girne American University.

 

Ali Ozcil received many awards from countries all over the world and has several articles and writings which were published in international journals.
