GAU is the champion in Badminton

Girne American University (GAU) Badminton team was the biggest rivalry of their opponents and they won the championship in all categories and eliminated their opponents again in TRNC Interuniversity Badminton Championship.  

GAU Badminton Team won the championship in both men and ladies categories and the team’s coach Assist. Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Doğgün emphasized that their success in TRNC and Turkey isn’t coincidence and they have got a very strong squad; “Our aim is to continue our success”, stated Doğgün.

The win of  GAU Badminton team consisting of  Savaş Dursun, Erkan Taş, Ümit Kartal and Esra Gökalp made the day for the university students.

GAU was the runner up, EMU was the first runner up and METU was the second runner up in TRNC Interuniversity Badminton Championship.
