Girne American University (GAU) celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2014-2015 Academic years, people who are at the top of their occupation was at traditional Career Days.

Bar Association President Ünver Bedevi shared important information with his presentation entitled “Being Lawyer and Jurisdiction” at Career Days in GAU Spectrum.

GAU Vice Rector and Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karakartal, Adv. Mihrican Yıldırım and also Career Center Supervisor Merve Kurtuluş attended the presentation.

Bar Association President Ünver Bedevi stated that protecting the human rights, raising the awareness of public and bringing the democracy are our aims as bar. Law is the best way of education because it works the logic in the best way, finds different ways of thinking and expands people’s horizon.

Bar Association President Ünver Bedevi emphasized about the essential things that should be done before starting the occupation of advocate and underlined that the exams should be done to identify the graduation level of people who wants to be advocate.

 “There should be placement test because there are many new advocates and they have to be separated from each other. In developed countries, all graduated people can’t be advocate because they don’t find it sufficient. However, new graduates can become advocate in Turkey and Cyprus with no placement test.”
