Girne American University (GAU), which celebrates its 30th anniversary, put signature on to the activities of International Art and Design Week in 2014-2015 academic years.

The workshop titled "A Thing" (Bir Şey) was performed for the International Art and Design Week, which was the 5th that held by the GAU Architecture Design and Fine Arts Faculty.

At the workshop, which was coordinated by the Asst. Prof. Dr. Cem Yardımcı, convertible materials, the designs of architectural structure and the redefinition of public spaces were discussed.

Within the framework of this workshop, the students of GAU Architecture Design and Fine Arts Faculty managed to draw attention to their work in GAU campus with their creative designs, by making numerous and distinctly applications to different locations.
