Girne American University (GAU), which celebrates its 30th anniversary, started the 1st GAU Dance Days, which is under the leadership of GAU Performing Arts, by speeding up the works revealed in the art field, in 2014-2015 academic years.

10 instructors from Portugal, Greece, Ankara and Istanbul, takes charge in together with the GAU Performing Arts instructors at GAU Dance Days, which will continue until May 16.

The work, which involves contemporary dance in the first instance, then ballet, jazz, yoga, improvisation, international dance and examples from the special dance repertoires, progresses with the live music accompanied by Ankara State Conservatory lecturer Emre Kesim.

The first of the event, which students attended as a guest, as well as instructors from the Ankara State Conservatory, took place at Ankara University State Conservatory Gümüşdere Campus under the name of "5th Traditional Island Dance Festival" and the Dance Department of GAU Performing Arts had taken place as guests at this event.

On the other hand, it was stated that the guest instructors will visit the historic sites in Cyprus throughout the event.
