In addition, runners up in GAU’s VI th Short Film Competition for high school students will be awarded 1,500 euroes plus a digital camera, and 750 euros plus a Divx / DVD player respectively, stated the spokes person.
Furthermore, GAU spokes person declared that the aim in conducting these competitions is to find future directors and filmmakers, to encourage young people interested in cinema and visual arts, as well as, to contribute to the development of the short film industry. The statement also noted that the sixth High School Short Film contest has attracted contestants not only mainly from Turkey and the TRNC but also from overseas.
