Akpinar Patisseries Have Great Contribution to Promoting The Country

Working as a branch of The Girne American University (GAU) the Akpınar Patisserie chain has been serving Turkish Cypriot cuisine since 1935 and has made a great contribution to the countries food culture.

 

Still being one of todays most popular venues, Akpınar Patisserie’s has been serving without lowering their standards since the first day they have opened to the Cypriot people and still continuing on its 80th anniversary. They hosted the filming of the program ‘I came, I saw, I ate’ by the actor, tv host and radio presenter, Kadir Çöpdemir who is loved in Turkey.

 

On the program ‘I came, I saw, I ate’ that took place in various places that was guided by, GAU Academic Sociologist Derviş Refiker included the promotion of goods sold at the Akpınar Patisseries, such as, Macun (Fruit like candy), Çiçek Suyu (Flower Juice) and a variety of cakes specific to Cyprus. Information about how the products are being produced and the ingredients used were given in the recordings taking at the production line. Çöpdemir, stated that he was amazed by the tastes of the products created by the Akpınar Patisseries.
