Girne American University (GAU) 30th academic year national and international conferences are completed.

CypSec-TRNC Cyber Security Conference which organized at GAU National Congress Centre Spectrum Hall lasted for 3 days.

At the conference which opening speeches were made by Public Works and Transport Minister Hasan Taçoy along with Head of Information Technologies and Communications Authority Kadri Bürüncük ,  Founder of Enforcer Ltd. and OWASP Turkey regional leader Bümyamin Demir also held presentations.     

At the conference which emphasized that in todays world where the threat of cyber threads reached to an incredible heights which companies and governments are increasing investment over this issue, it was stressed that breaches of confidentiality by the emergence of a greater risk for the company where personal data of individuals are being targeted, job loss and service interruption are encountered.   

In addition to these, it was expressed that more deeper and painful process are arising for the government.

Within the CypSec’15 where Hackers and Security experts competed with each other, remaining finalist were rewarded with surprise gifts.

In the last day of the conference which lasted total of 3 days, Web application Security Testing, Network and System Security, Linux Fundamentals issues were discussed.
