GAU’s Aviation and Pilotage Programs Are Working Perfectly

The first 2 planes will be delivered in June


The countdown has begun for the first 2 out of 5 educational planes that GAU has purchased, they are straight out of the factory Diamond Pilotage planes. GAU has also signed contracts with AFA for every type of maintenance and servicing for the planes.

 

Girne American University (GAU) has added another development to the Aviation and Pilotage education period. After getting approval for YODAK and YOK and a Flight Education Authorization Certificate from Turkey’s Civil Aviation Headquarters, the delivery dates for the planes that will be used for Pilotage education have been announced.

 

According to this, 2 out of the 5 planes that GAU has purchased will be delivered in June.


The safest education plane

 

GAU has signed contracts, including, every type of maintenance and servicing for the 5 Diamond Pilotage educational planes which happen to be the preference of the Atlantic Flight Academy (AFA).

 

Experts evaluated all details whilst choosing the educational planes, the pilots who will use them, the importance of education, special features of the planes and opportunities to perform perfect duties which will be provided for the aviation and Pilotage department.


IFR is capable of flight

 

It is stated that the planes that have been chosen were created with Full Glass Cockpits, single engine “DA20 C1 - Eclipse” and on the Garmin 500 planes that have double engines, “DA42-NG” and Garmin 1000 tax systems are configured.

 

Overall, they prefer the brand “Diamond” due to the fact that, general Aviation has a modernized understanding, by using high standardized equipment and technology, international aviation authorities have proven they produce safe and high performance planes.


A path in the Aviation sector

 

The explanation made by GAU states that, the cooperation of the International Aviation Academy and AFA has attracted a lot of attention, the fact that it is the TRNC’s first certificate approved by the Turkish Civil Aviation Headquarters, it will make history.

Also, along with the 2014-2015 Academic Year, within GAU’s Kyrenia Campus the Higher School Education, Pilotage, Civil Air Transportation Management and Civil Aviation Cabin Services education continues at the Vecihi Hürkuş building.
