Girne American University has achieved a first in TRNC Civil Aviation by participating in Safety Management System Coordination Meeting organized by Turkey General Directorate of Civil Aviation

Girne American University and International Aviation Academy (IAA) has achieved a first in TRNC Civil Aviation by participating in SMS Coordination Meeting held on 27 March 2015 to determine the minimum safety performance indicators for Flight Training Organizations organized by Turkey Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ministry General Directorate of Civil Aviation within Samsun 19 May University Rector’s Office of Aerospace Technology Application and Research Center

GAU Aviation High School Flight Training Organization Quality and SMS Specialist Saygın Gönç stated Pilotage Department of Aviation High School is the first and only university authorized by SGHM in TRNC and under international rules civil aviation activities initiated in TRNC, in a statement made at the meeting

We have had to opportunity to exchange ideas with many flight schools in sector and authorities of SGHM. In particular, meteorological weather conditions of Cyprus are convenient for flights almost all of the year attracts the attention of many flight schools.
