Girne American University (GAU) Junior Basketball Team pulverized Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) at home: 70-55

GAU Junior Basketball Team met with EMU Junior Basketball Team in the league match on last Friday.

In the game which was played the EMU Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Hall, although GAU fell behind with 10 points in the first half, first they made up the difference by recovering in the second half, then placed their success which they achieved from their opponent with a superior game into the scoreboard with red lights: 70-55

GAU Junior Basketball Team players who made a statement after the match refered that they consider this game as a rehearsal of the match that they will play on Tuesday.

GAU Sports Club Junior Basketball Team trainer Gökay İskar and talented players Mehmet Ekin (4), Tanca Nedim (5), Atahan Yıldız (6), Can Göncü (7), Mehmet Kafalı (8), Batuhan Asil (9), Berk Argın (10), Görkem Çiçek (11), Tuğberk Aybars (12), Ehsan Niani (13), Alpay Şerbetçioğlu (14), Batuhan Tüzmen (15) stated that they aim to show the same performance in Tuesday’s match.

Gökay İskar explained that “This victory cheered up our players before the match that we’ll play on Tuesday. Also our team got the first place in the Interscholastic Basketball Championship.”
