Great interest to the 2nd Theatre Days,which is organised by The Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Performing Arts, Drama and Acting Department, by the Cypriot public.

The play named “Bira Fabrikası”, which was staged at the GAU International Congress Center Spectrum Hall, attracted great interest from GAU Global Science Family, students and public. After the play the performers of “Bira Fabrikası” stated to the microphones of GAU TV that they are glad to be in Cyprus because of Theatre Days. The performers expressed that they are very satisfied with the audience`s attention and stated that the play, which was staged under Moda Sahnesi (The Fashion Scene), is lively and is a play that throws the audience a curve. They also expressed that they are happy because of reaching approximately thousand people with the play named “Bira Fabrikası” and stated that they are satisfied with the GAU Spectrum Hall. Necip Memili, the leading actor in the play, mentioned that the importance of theatre should always be emphasized and underlined that he celebrates the Department of Drama and Acting relating to the regulation of the Theatre Days, which will continue for a week and is worthy of March 27 World Theatre Days. Melis Birkan, the other leading actor in the play, stated that the event, which was under the Theatre Days, was very nice and congratulated the GAU authorities, in this sense. Göksu Gür, the player of the “Bira fabrikası”, stated that they are very happy to see the importance given to the theatre by students and added that they are very satisfied with all the seats being full and the interest of the people of Cyprus as well as students. Onur Ünsal, who took stage for the 2nd time under GAU, emphasised that Theater Days are a good opportunity for drama and acting department students. Ünsal stated that the play is difficult and it even puts the audience into contradiction between laughing and not laughing while actually laughing and that they are very happy about the synergies they received. Ünsal celebrated the 27 March World Theatre Day via GAU TV and stated that he is happy to be invited and meet with GAU students.

At the statement about the GAU 2nd Theatre Days, it was stated that on March 26, Thursday at 20:00 pm the play named “Parkta Güzel Bir Gün” will be staged  and on March 27 the play named “Köpek Kadın Erkek” will be staged at the same time.
