GAU celebrating its 30^th year during the 2014-2015 academic years is also running from success to success in sports.

The GAU table tennis team hit the headlines not only in the individuals but as a team during the Turkey Inter-university Table Tennis Championships held at Antalya between the 18^th and 24^th of March.

The GAU table tennis team outscored the other universities by winning the second place at the Turkey Inter-university Table Tennis Championships. The athletes Özgün Öztürk became 2^nd and Hüseyin Durmaz became 3^rd from The GAU Table Tennis Team that also showed success in the individuals. The Turkey University Sports Federation, presented their rewards to the GAU table tennis team athletes; Özgün Öztürk that became second in the women’s and Hüseyin Durmaz that became second in the men’s at the Turkey Interuniversity Table Tennis Championships.

Besides the GAU table tennis team winning admiration for collecting all of the medals in the individuals and team events, The Sports Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr.  Muzaffer Doğgün presented the Çukurova University women’s team their award.
