4th International Educational Sciences Symposium Commenced at GAU

ATTENTED BY 200 SCIENTIST FROM 19 COUNTRIES, APPROXIMATELY 155 NOTIFICATIONS TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES DURING THE SYMPOSIUM

 

4th International Educational Sciences Symposium which was organized by the cooperation of  Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Education and Cyprus Associations of Educational Sciences  (KEBD) has begun.


The opening speeches for the symposium, which to will last for 2 days, performed at the GAU International Congress Centre Spectrum Hall was realized by GAU Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker, GAU CEO and Vice Chancellor of the Board Asst. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi, GAU Vice Rector, Dean of Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karakartal and Sibel Dinçyürek from the KEBD.


Over the course of 2 days at symposium which Turkish and English presentations will be held; new orientation, theory, technical development and teaching methods in education will be examined.


At the symposium which was attended by 200 scientists from 19 countries, approximately 155 reports will be published in the field of educational sciences.


4th International Educational Sciences Symposium is expected to contribute to the programs with its new educational technology.


GAU Acting Rector Prof. Sadık Ülker, GAU CEO and Chancellor of the Board Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi, GAU Vice Rector, Dean of Faculty of Education Prof. Oğuz Karakartal, President of KEBD Prof. Hüseyin Uzunboylu, local and foreign academicians and GAU students participated to the symposium.

 

ÜLKER


In his speech, GAU Acting Rector Prof. Sadık Ülker has indicated that he is glad to host the 4th International Educational Sciences Symposium then thanked to everyone for their contributions.


While Prof. Dr. Ülker stated that this year is particularly important for them due to being GAU’s 30th year in education, he noted that GAU as the island’s first private university is the “precursor” in higher education.


Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker explained that GAU is providing education to the 13 thousand students from 100 different countries with its total of 8 faculties, 6 colleges, 2 institutes and 155 academic programs.


VEHBİ


As for the GAU CEO and Vice Chancellor of the Board Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi, he wished the 4th organized symposium in the field of educational sciences to be a success and noted that being an island of education, there are approximately 70 thousand university students from abroad in correspond to the 300 thousand population of North Cyprus.


While Assist. Prof. Dr. Vehbi expressed that “education is a must” principal should be followed in order to show the presence as country and society, he pointed out that many problems in the world could be cleared away with the education offered to the people.

Asım Vehbi emphasized that new new orientation, theory, technical development and teaching methods in education will be examined at the symposium.


KARAKARTAL


At the speech he made GAU Vice Rector and Dean of Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karakartal, wished to make contributions to science educations with the symposium they carried out with the cooperation of KEBD.


Karakartal, emphasizing the importance of education and educational sciences in the speech he made also stated that “GAU Faculty of Education is a preferred education slot that gained experiences with the symposiums they carried out.”  


DİNÇYÜREK

 

At her speech KEBD Official Sibel Dinçyürek, indicated her appreciation for symposium that took place with the cooperation of association with GAU then she noted that scientist, administrators, teachers and university students will discuss educational sciences in an academic environment at the symposium.

Dinçyürek indicated that the symposium which was attended by approximately 200 scientists from 19 different countries will publish nearly 155 reports over the field of educational sciences.
