A New Era in Health Initiates at GAU
GAU’S MEDICAL FACULTY IS STARTING TO REGISTER STUDENTS IN THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR
Celebrating its 30th year in the 2014-2015 Academic year, Girne American University the Medical Faculty and is starting a new era in health.
Accordingly to the announcement given by the Chancellor’s Office of Girne American University, the aim of the project, For the new semester, this will give the health system and medical education a leading role, is to provide the Turkish Cypriot community with high quality and international standardised health care. GAU will be initializing the operation of the Medical Faculty subsequent to the approval from Ministry of National Education thus will be able to start registering students in the new academic year.
In the statement made by GAU, it was recorded that the authorities in the medical world and health services world brand Florence Nightingale Hospital, Bilim University and Girne American University will be cooperating together. This will concrete the new term in North Cyprus since the Medical Faculty, medical education has started with the approval of Ministry of National Education. On the first trail, GAU’S Medical Faculty will start registering students in the 2+4 system in the 2015-2016 Academic Year. Although the GAU Smart Health construction project is continuing, education in TRNC is on going at full time.

With GAU’s Smart Health Project, health sciences and medical education, North Cyprus will be the centre of attraction, internationally. it was stated that, in respect to the previous decision of GAU Senate, there are significant needs of the community responding to this framework of services, which will be undertaken soon after the approval.
In addition to this it is emphasized that, during the new semester; rational, scientific, humane and beneficial responds are required to be undertaken in means of communal needs depending on the level. The decision is stated to enhance North Cyprus’s health applications and education to world standards.
