Giant Project that will Shape Future by GAU and Municipality Of Lapta

GAU-SEM Director Ayşegül Nacak stated in a TV program that this is a duty for the good sake of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and for the people of Kyrenia.

Giant educational project that will last 22 months in cooperation Girne American University (GAU) and Municipality of Lapta begins. The education program that will shape the future of Lapta, will be provided by GAUSEM at Le Chetau Lambousa hotel and GAU campus.

GAU Lifelong Education Center (GAU-SEM) Director Ayşegül highlighted in her statement that in two-year project of GAU and Municipality of Lapta will be shaping Lapta in a scientific framework and English Training Program will be provided to the residents of the region.

GAU-SEM Director Ayşegül Nacak who gave information with regard to project which will be given a start in March, stated that: “In today`s society where the importance of lifelong learning and its necessity increased with each passing day, the need for individuals and institutions with continuous learning skills and innovation have been increasing at the same rate.”

Aysegül Nacak, "GAU-SEM, which carried the responsibility of producing contemporary information with the fact that social development can be achieved only with individual development, is under the roof of GAU, with its 30 years experience in education, its identity and international accreditations and approved intercontinental standards.”

The purpose of establishment of GAU-SEM

Aysegül Nacak explained that the establishment purpose of GAU-SEM is to contribute to the development of society’s economy by providing lifelong training programs they need in short and long terms, stated that they have also undertaken the task of contributing to the information age society with keeping up with the changes and developments.        

Services provided at the center

Aysegül Nacak who stated that: “Events such as research, consulting, conferences, seminars, courses and etc. are presented to you in the most recent technological environment with qualified instructors in our center which performs educational activities, that adds value to people, at individual, institutional, national and international level” and explained that along with the rich academic staff under GAU-SEM, professional people that have risen to the highest level in the profession transfer their knowledge and experience to the participants.

Nacak underlined that they provide computers, sports, music and dance training programs and professional development, personal development, language training that can be applied in both the individual and institutional levels, stated that: “In this context, preparatory classes for various examinations and quality, contemporary and innovative lifelong education programs that forms a broad range of trainings are located within the GAU-SEM."

GAU-SEM Director Aysegül Nacak who explained that they contribute to the development of both the individuals and society’s economy by providing lifelong training programs they need in short and long terms, stated that they have also undertaken the task of contributing to the information age society with keeping up with the changes and developments.

Nacak who explained that all individuals from 7 to 77 with the diversity and freedom of getting training from GAU-SEM for an hour up to one year, will contribute to their personal development and career development with their training certificates and make differences in business life, pointed out a need for self-improvement for every individual to differ themselves from others in the competitive environment of today`s business life where a diploma of higher education alone is not enough.
