Conducted by the American College, the “Target Projects” has resulted with success.

The Principal of The American College Aysu Balkanlar has stated that “Every child has their own talent, and what is important is to discover this.” She also added that the “Target Projects” which had begun last year, has resulted with success.

“The most significant vision of The American College is to develop each student accordingly to their talents and prepare them to be a University student” stated Balkanlar. She has also emphasized that 40% of the graduates of last year have entered universities in England.

Aysu Balkanlar added that they have re-established the ÖSS (Student Selection and Placement Exam) class. Balkanlar reported that all courses besides of Cyprus History and Turkish language are taught in English and that each semester a general examination is held to assess the educational levels of the students.

Balkanlar underlined that their curriculum is different to other schools but relevant to the Ministry of National Education and that the registration to school is only applicable after an examination. Furthermore students who transferred from State schools are obliged to undertake a year of orientation equipped with extra courses.

Aysu Balkanlar finally stated that The American College is determined to benefit from the technology in most efficient and safe way and contribute in social responsibility projects and abroad visits.
