The American School Makes A Difference in Quality

The American Elementary School (GAU), makes a difference in modern education with features such as latest technology tablets, English and French courses in addition to the curriculum of Ministry of Education.

GAU Headmaster Mine Ağdaç stressed that the school has a fairly respectable teaching staff, and stated that "Currently, we provide 12 hours per week English courses in addition to French courses as a second language."

Mine Ağdaç provided information about the school as followed:

"We benefit from technological applications such as smart boards and tablet computers for our students who take Mathematics, Geography and Science lessons in English from kindergarten to Year 5. We carry the technology to class rather than carrying students to the technology.”

25 TEACHERS for 100 STUDENTS

Andaç who stated that they provide education with25 teachers in total, expressed that the school is different from other schools as the landscaping, and it has facilities to offer such as music rooms, French room, art studios, science labs, dance hall and indoor sports hall.

Mine Ağdaç who emphasized that there are major differences between them and state schools, stated that "They made additions because they weren’t satisfied with the curriculum of state schools, and provided students with longer training periods.”

DEVELOPMENT OF THE STUDENTS

Mine Ağdaç expressed that they have lots of serious work on the development of students and stated that:

"We are following the path of ‘You can`t teach an old dog new trick’ philosophy. We constitute our cultural activity schedule at the beginning of the academic year and organize events every week. There is huge interest in after school extra activities such as ballet, yoga, English drama department, theater and sports."

Ağdaç underlined that they prepare their students for the Cambridge exams, stated that "We are taking the stat of the general education level of our students by making in-school exam four times a year."
