Academic Cooperation Agreement Signed Between GAU and MEU

Girne American University (GAU) which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in higher education in 2014-2015 academic years signed a cooperation agreement with the University of the Middle East which is one of the Jordan`s leading universities within the framework of the vision of internationalization.

 

The number of universities that GAU continued academic cooperation and shared scientific knowledge with reached to 200 except from GAU international global generic campuses and education centers in United Kingdom, Hong Kong, US and Turkey with the academic cooperation agreement signed between GAU and the Middle East University.

 

In the signing ceremony took place in GAU, the CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Girne American University Board of Administrators Asst. Prof.  Dr. Asım Vehbi attended to the ceremony on behalf of GAU, Board of Trustees Vice President Dr. Sanaa Shiqwarah, Vice President of External Affairs, Dean of Faculty of Architecture and Design Dr. Ra’ed Qaqish and International Relations Office and Director of Media Training and Office and Development Center Sara Naseredin attended on the behalf of  Middle East University.

 

In the statement of the CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Girne American University Board of Administrators Asst. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi stated that they signed a cooperation agreement with the Middle East University and in particular he wished the agreement to be beneficial for GAU family and TRNC. Vehbi considering their collaborations as outward opening doors also stated that they were proud to be the most developing university in the framework of the vision of internationalization. Also Vehbi stated that GAU has campuses in the UK, US,Hong Kong and Istanbul, and they have academic cooperation with almost 200 universities. He emphasized that within the framework of a cooperation agreement with the Middle East University in Jordan, they created a system that many students would benefit from it. He stressed that exchange from Jordan to Cyprus and from Cyprus to Jordan would be possible. Also Vehbi said that GAU students would take the advantage of studying at the University of the Middle East for a semester or a year with the performed protocol agreement.

 

Joint scientific studies are targeted with the agreement between GAU and the Middle East University and also scientists and students would be able to continue their periodical education with exchange programs in other university campuses.
