The 9th GAU Inter-Highschools Short Film Contest Admissions Continues

GAU AWAITS THE FUTURE DIRECTORS


Admissions for the 9th Inter-High Schools Short Film Contest have commenced in Girne American University for students from Turkey and the TRNC who are enthusiasts of cinema.

 

GAU Communication Faculty which aims to support new ideas and cinema culture has organized the 9th Inter-High Schools Short Film Contest to gather young directors and those who are interested in cinema.


Girne American University, on the eve of its 30th year in higher education, have organized the 9th Inter-High Schools Short Film Contest to gather young directors and cinema enthusiasts to screen their stories and fulfill their dreams and reinforce their education. GAU also provides an opportunity for those young people who desire to develop themselves in cinema by exhibiting their work on serious and professional platforms. The ranking contestants will be granted with scholarships in Canterbury Campus in England and prize money by GAU.

 

GAU have announced that The first prize will be 1500 Euros and 100% Foundation Scholarship, second prize will be 1200 Euros and 100% Foundation Scholarship and third prize will be 1000 Euros and 100% Foundation Scholarship at the Canterbury Campus.


ADMISSIONS DUE ON 23 MARCH 2015



The admissions are due on 23 March 2015 and the students who want to apply for the contest can visit the web address: http://yarismalar.gau.edu.tr or telephone (0392) 650 2000 extension 1165. The award night will be attended by the most famous directors and cinema artists of Turkey and North Cyprus. The awards are to be presented following the screening of the films on 10 April 2015, Friday.
