Global Marine Authorities Coming Together at GAU
GAU IS HOSTING 1st INTERNATIONAL MARINE AND TRANSPORT SYMPOSIUM
In Girne American University’s celebration of its 30th anniversary in 2014-2015 academic years, they are continuing to host international organizations.
GAU with the cooperation of Marine and Transport High school and Turkey Chamber of Marine Engineers, is hosting the “1st International Marine and Transport Symposium” (IMAT) that will be taking place at 6-7 March 2015.
In the statement made by GAU about the relevant issue, it is notified that symposium that will be the first in TRNC going to be carried out along with Turkey Chamber of Marine Engineers, (GEMİNO) it is reported that many international scientist that have authority in their field will participate IMAT in 2015 in broad and comprehensive manner. In the symposium it is expressed that many reports and articles will be presented in the statement in the areas of “Marine, Transport and Logistics,” and it is emphasized that the topics of the symposium will be “Green technologies, marine pollution, rules and standards, marine history, sea-culture-human relations, multimodal transportation, logistics and transportation, port and terminal management, marine economy, international marine law, exclusive economic zones, health safety and risks, training certification and internships, ship machinery, ship building, energy alternatives, yachts and pleasure boats, marine meteorology and the marine environment.
“Aim of the symposium is to create permanent and lasting scientific solutions for problems and disputes regarding Turkey and the worlds maritime in our island surrounded by sea on four sides and to inform innovations and development with changes to the public and the world of science with marine and transport sector. Girne American University, Marine and Transportation High school is feeling proud due to hosting such an international event. Also, in the light of mission it has undertaken in the field of Marine and Transportation they are also proud to see that it’s going to come to life with their broad vision. It is truth that the symposium which will ensure continuity will benefit maritime in all areas. You see within this truth, our duty is to do better every time and add new ones to the all kinds of success in the field of marine, transport and logistics.
