Akpınar, “Büyükkonuk is in need of investments”

Mayor of Büyükkonuk region Ahmet Sennaroğlu was visited by Global Science delegations in leadership of Girne American University (GAU) Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board Serhat Akpınar.

During the visit, there was an exchange of information on eco-tourism activities in the region and about the educational work that is to be done in this regard.

GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board Serhat Akpınar stated in a statement regarding the visit that Büyükkonuk region is the apple of eye of TRNC in the field of tourism.

"Strengthening the local people and region of Büyükkonuk, introducing the unique authentic structure of Cyprus to overseas should be between the duties of every TRNC citizen. Therefore, it is clear that the region is in need of investment.”

Mayor of Büyükkonuk region Ahmet Sennaroğlu noted the importance of interest showed in the region by the country`s most popular university Girne American University by stating “We are very pleased with the high level visit made by such a powerful institution to our town.”

Sennaroğlu pointed out the importance of cooperation with Girne American University in this context and stated that "This comprehensive visit is a gratifying development for us".

Sennaroğlu expressed that they would be happy to contribute to the all kinds of positive work that will contribute to the region as the municipality.
