Girne American University celebrating its 30^th year with the 2014-2015 academic year continues unabated with their new departments and academic cooperation agreements.

During their visit to Kazakhstan, under the chairmanship of GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board - Serhat Akpınar and the GAU Science Committee consisting of Vice Chancellor of the Board - Olgun Üstün, Founding Dean of the Faculty of Medicine - Prof. Dr. Ferhat Erişir, they made important contacts.

The committee, as well as taking the steps for the GAU Space Science and Astronomy Department, came together with Abay Kazakhstan National University Rector - Dr. S. Zh. Praliev to make important cooperation between the two universities.

Prior to the agreement between Girne American University and Abay Kazakhstan National University, GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board - Serhat Akpınar and Abay Kazakhstan National University Rector - Dr. S. Zh. Praliev came together to discuss the agreement details.

In a statement from GAU on the subject, with the academic cooperation agreement between GAU and Abay Kazakhstan National University as well as the 2+1,3+1 education program and by opening joint programs they will provide the students with dual diploma opportunities.  Under the Protocol, joint academic organizations and scientific research as well as student and academics exchange will be carried out between the two universities.

An Invitation to GAU to open Universities in Kazakhstan and Dubai

In addition, it is reported that during their visit, GAU has received an invitation from Almaty University to open a university in Kazakhstan, and it is noted that they have also received an invitation to create a “Knowledge Village” (Bilgi Köyü) as a joint work in Dubai.
