Cyprus Research Centre (GAU-KAM) established under Girne American University showed great success in the exhibitions and competitions jointly carried out by PTT (Governmental Postal Office), Transport and Communications Ministry and Gaziantep Governor’s Office.

In the exhibitions and competitions held in Gaziantep, the “Greek Propaganda in Postal Activities” is a collection of GAU-KAM and they showed 5 panels, 80 brochures and 160 materials. The collection which won a silver medal in the competition had a significant honour for the TRNC.

GAU-KAM President and Prof. Dr. Ulvi Keser said in a statement on the matter, the collection is racing by itself and there is no other in the world like it, and it shows how the Greek Cypriot Postal Administration demonstrated unilaterally their one sided politics from August 16^th 1960 up to this day and that they won a silver medal in the competition.

Representing the degree of success obtained in the contest, Head of GAU-KAM - Dr. Ulvi Keser and GAU CEO and Vice Chancellor of the Board -  Asst. Prof. Dr. Asim Vehbi, Acting Rector - Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker, Vice Rector - Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karakartal and Assoc. Prof. - Dr. Zafer Ağdelen were presented with the award.

Commenting on the subject GAU CEO and Vice Chancellor of the Board  - Asst. Prof. Dr. Asim Vehbi thanked the Cyprus Research Centre Family and brought attention to the importance of their work.  Vehbi said that once more we need to learn a lesson from this and that he hoped that there will be a mutual peace agreement on the island and in this framework he reminded that GAU announced their 2014-2015 Academic year theme Peace and Health Year and once again thanked GAU-KAM.

In a statement on the subject GAU Acting Rector - Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker said that the main objective of the University is education and research, and said that Girne American University has been supportive of such matters all of the time.
