Song Activity

One of our lecturers, RüyaMertAltıncı, who attended the ELT conference titled “Motivating the Unmotivated”, tested Ken Wilson’s song activity in her classroom and the result was quite satisfying.

The main objective of this activity was to improve students’ listening skills and it really worked, she said. Students loved it. Especially the dancing part!

(In the first part of this activity each student has a verse and they need to form a line by listening to the song and for the second part of it, if they are in the correct place, they dance. If they aren’t, they need to find it.)
