Teacher research Conference @ Gediz University, İzmir
TEACHER RESEARCHERS IN ACTION 2014 – GEDİZ UNIVERSITY, İZMİR
Once again, Foundation English School has taken part in a teacher research conference which was located in the admirable district of İzmir. The conference was held on 27 – 28 June, 2014 at Gediz University. The Director of FES Hatice Asvaroğlu, FES Coordinator Defne Ünar and FES lecturers Ayşa Lama & Pınar Orhon participated in this spectacular event and had the wonderful opportunity and pleasure to meet well-known names in the field of teacher research such as Anne Burns, Dick Allwright and Richard Smith who were the plenary speakers of this conference. FES had the privilege to have fruitful discussions and share their experiences with these stunning researchers as well as benefited entirely from their brilliant ideas and suggestions. Furthermore, they had the chance to discuss plans and actions of a teacher research conference which FES would like to hold in the future. Besides the plenary events, concurrent sessions took place throughout the day which helped FES relate and reflect upon their teaching practices. The conference was an efficient and effective event which contributed to the Teacher Professional Development of FES.
