"Recycled Christmas Trees" exhibition has ended after the certification ceremony held in Girne American University, Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts.

This exhibition which was opened by GAU Vice-Chancellor and CEO Dr. Asım Vehbi, Coordinator of GAU Health, Culture and Sports Centre Mr. Türkay Akpınar, GAU Vice-Rectors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olgun Çiçek and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Ağdelen, GAU General Secretary Dr. Sualp Davut and A. Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Design & Fine Arts Asst. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadri on Monday 24th of December, has ended on Friday 28th of December. This exhibition of 30 recycled and lightened Christmas trees which produced by the students of Girne American University (GAU), Architecture and Interior Design Departments, has been organized by Lect. Aslıhan Aldış.

In the closing ceremony, Acting Dean of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Faculty Assist. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadri has stated that the exhibition was organized with an environmentalist perception to increase the sensitivity on the intention of avoiding the chopping of the trees and the damaged caused to the environment, and on the other hand to update the knowledge of the effect of minimizing the consumption via recycle process. Assist. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadri has also showed appreciations to the teaching staff of Architecture Department Aslıhan Aldış whom undertook the organization of the exhibition and to those students who exhibited their works and finally to the university authorities for their participations and support in the exhibition.



GAU Vice-Chancellor and CEO Dr. Asım Vehbi has emphasized the importance of the environmental issues and stated that GAU is facilitating various activities to raise the awareness in this regard. He then congratulated the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts students and the teaching staff for the organization of this exhibition. At the end of ceremony in which, in addition to GAU Vice-Chancellor the Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker and General Secretary Sualp Davut has attended, the ranking work owners were presented with certificates and awards by GAU Vice-Chancellor CEO Dr. Asım Vehbi.
